Oscar Peterson Plays Count Basie - Pure DSD

Such a nice set of performances! It's from 1955 and, yes, the mono recording sounds like 1955 tech. But it is wonderfully clean, clear and detailed -- I've just been relaxing into it and enjoying the musicians doing their thing. The capture of Ray Brown's double bass is a joy to hear. And the addition of guitarist Herb Ellis adds a special extra touch I'm not used to hearing with just the Oscar Peterson Trio performing on its own. Oscar Peterson is as impeccable as always. As usual, HDTT's transfer is as-clean-as-clean-can-be. It is as if the 2-track tape is playing right here with me, lushly detailed, nicely dynamic, very clean, very low noise threshold.
