Scheherazade done right

I am a vinyl guy but decided to give this a try due to recommendations from Positive Feedback. Wow! I have several iterations of the same album in my collection and this digital DSD 256 does not disappoint. It is more dynamic and more sense of air compared to my cd transfers. One can easily hear the differences. Highly recommended.

Reiner's Sheherezade

Whether or not Reiner's classic performance of Sherezade is the last word on the piece I'll leave to others (performances by Markevitch, Monteux, and Kondrashin also bring something essential, I think), but it is unquestionably one of the very greatest ever recorded and it has never sounded nearly as gorgeous and impactful as it does here. A great issue.
