I purchased size 38 jeans as this is my normal size. However the actual fit was the equivalent of at least a size 40. I have had the jeans taken in but would like to order another pair. What size would you recommend? Would a size 36 be better?

Somewhat stretchy. I initially chose a size too large but the exchange process went very smoothly. Very happy now.

Very comfortable, -, I mean, really, really comfortable, .. Notice round the belly riding a little low, -, not due to my, ", Dadbod, ", .. It is the design, I accept that. I generally favour a cut more typical of the standard Levi's, but otherwise very happy.
