Basic cotton tote

I can't deny I was disappointed when this tote arrived. I wanted to love it as it looked great on the website and I love to support small businesses. However, I expected it to be canvas, as this is how it is described on the Damson Madder site and it is not. Canvas is a heavier, woven cotton but this tote is made from a lightweight cotton. Also, it looks much bigger and sturdier in the image on the website - whereas in reality, it is smaller overall and the bottom of the tote is much smaller than depicted. I do not think it is worth the price tag and if Damson Madder had a bricks and mortar store, and I had seen it in 'the flesh', I would not have purchased it as I wanted a more structured canvas tote.
