An Excellent Transfer

Slight panning of the bass on the first track after the band comes together (at around the 1:28 mark). I assume this minor issue was deemed acceptable in order to keep the transfer Pure DSD. If so, I agree... totally acceptable for this otherwise flawless and superb transfer! For some reason embedded album art on the dsf files is absent on tracks 1 and 3. No matter what program I use, I cannot get it to display for these tracks. I have not had this problem with my other (dozen) HDTT downloads.

Good to rediscover

Presence, warm sound, they are there. And we of course all know how this record is great, i won't comment on that, but great to rediscover it. Thanks for these reeditions, this is a great upgrade to the classic CD.

Call train – Live at the Vanguard

I have frequented the Village Vanguard well over 100 times from the mid 60s through the mid 80s back during the period that Max Gordon was alive and when my cousin and I arrived we were always invited guests to sit with him. Most live recordings at the Vanguard were done really well and I have several full collections of Coltrane at the Vanguard. This particular recording took their exceptional quality one step higher into The realm of incredible music reproduction. Need I say more?
