Li'l Finz Kids Spinning Rod

I'd give this rod 3. 5 out of 5 stars. . . a couple minor tweaks and it could easily be a 5 star rod. See below: 1. The cork has sharp edges that should be rounded off to prevent chipping. I used some sandpaper and fixed it myself before sealing it. 2. The reel seat wasn't aligned with the guides. All of the guides were straight, but the reel seat was off by a few degrees. It's not terribly off, and it doesn't seem to affect anything. . . but a little more attention to detail during the manufacturing process would fix this. The end cap could be a little bit nicer but it is what it is. . . it's a great kids rod for the price that is sensitive, and has a nice feel and action. I purchased this for my daughter but I could actually see using one myself for canoeing or creek fishing. It paired well with an extra President XT 2500 spinning reel I had laying around. I went with 15lb braid for the main line. My daughter is 8 years old, and she is getting quite good at casting and fishing with artificial lures. She'll use it for bass fishing and inshore saltwater fishing. It should be a great "all-around" rod for her to use as she takes her angling abilities to the next level.

The best rod for targeting sheepshead close to filling. I love this rod I always use it every time I go out fishing for a sheepshead in my kayak.
