Cottino Cotton Merino Blend Yarn

Loved this yarn!

I used this to make a baby blanket using the color straw. This was my first project of this scale and I enjoyed working with this yarn. Sometimes the yarn would split but it was easy to fix and I got used to working with it. It ended up being a beautiful blanket and softened up even more with a wash. I loved that it has the option to machine wash and dry! I am planning on making another blanket and I am excited to use this yarn in other colors as well!

Right yarn for this project?

This yarn is soft and drapes well so I am not sure it was the best yarn for the METHOD TOTE kit that I purchased. I had trouble with the yarn splitting as I carried the yarn along the project. (tapestry style crochet) I ended up switching to a different pattern for the tote bag and I am using the yarn that way. I am also knitting this version and I have a little less issue with the splitting. I probably won't purchase this yarn again. Only used it because it came with the kit.

I am knitting a top with this yarn. So far, the fabric is really nice! It is a bit split but that is forgivable. I haven’t noticed any knots in the skein and it blocks beautifully!
