Dorati's Mercury Second Viennese School
This is a classic both in regard to the performances (more rare then than now) and in regard to the recorded sound. I don't believe this was ever released as an SACD so this HDTT release is all the more essential.

A great experience
As I do love both Dorati and the LSO and as I do love Bob Fine's and Wilma Cozart's way to make music sound, I cannot recommend this "tranfer" more. What you can appreciate the most in the Mercury's vynil, such as spacing, timbers or appropriate weighting for each orchestral section, that you can find right here, in a digital way which does sound as analogical as the real thing. I am not saying they sound the same way, but the peculiar density of the phrasing is entirely brought to your ears. Be just advised to coupling, as always you should, gears from an appropriate level.

Not pretty, but very fine sonics
This is not exactly ingratiating music- the second Viennese School does not exactly major in this quality! The sonics, however, are remarkable. This vinyl-derived recording offers true Mercury sonics - and fine, indeed, they are. Actually, it sounds more echt-Mercury than most of the tape derived Merc content on HDTT...
