I’m not sure what I was expecting but I was pleasantly surprised. I understand the split between why so many love and hate this scent. It is very polarizing but I love it

A Signature-Level Fragrance With Incredible Presence

Amouage Guidance 46 has become one of my two current signature fragrances, and for good reason. It opens with a noticeable rose-forward floral character, but on my skin it quickly develops into something much richer, creamier, woodier, and more complex. There is sweetness, but it never feels overly sugary to me, and the deeper woods and incense keep it beautifully balanced. What really separates Guidance 46 is the performance. The projection and sillage are outstanding. I continue to catch wafts of it throughout the day, it leaves a noticeable scent trail, and I have received multiple unsolicited compliments while wearing it, including people telling me it was one of the best fragrances they had ever smelled. Some may consider it slightly feminine-leaning because of the rose and floral character, but that has not been my experience on skin. To me, it feels sophisticated, distinctive, confident, and incredibly well blended. It is expensive, but this is one of those rare fragrances where the scent quality, longevity, projection, and uniqueness all come together. Absolutely signature-scent worthy for me.
