Freeze-Dried Blueberries - Premium Grade A Blueberry Snacks

Unexpected flavour

These have a nice crunch to them and don't instantly turn to mush (like the strawberry slices). I enjoy them, but they have an unexpected burnt flavour to them. Almost like what happens if I make blueberry (fresh) pancakes and a bit of the juice runs out and simmers on the pan. It's not unpleasant, but I'm surprised the flavour isn't more tart like the strawberry slices. I mix them with the banana slices for a snack, but adds some additional sweetness. I have yet to try baking with them.
