Super easy instal and great sounding speakers. Lead time is a little slow but still within the stated time frame. I’d purchase from here again.

Great speakers, but more than just plug and play needed

I installed this speaker set on a 2013 JK Jeep with a Kenwood DPX503BT head unit. The install was pretty straight forward from the video; there were some slight deviations with my speaker enclosures, but nothing I couldn't work around. The Kicker speakers were definitely a big change from the OEM speakers. It sounded like I was getting nothing but tweeter sound. A few emails with T7 support (huge shoutout to Blair for the help) found that I made some basic rookie errors like too much polyfill (the kit included a bag of loose polyfill rather than the pre-cut sheets) and forgetting to dog down some screws completely to eliminate rattle. The big game-changer for these was digging into the Kenwood manual and finding out more on channel setup, the DSP feature, and other settings that were set as flat or disabled with my stock setup-the 6504s came alive after that. The only quibble I have with the kit was that the speaker surrounds on the 6504s had jagged edges (not sure if these were cut with shears or a Dremel, but I was hoping for a neater job here) and that they were very fragile/not-drop-resistant (was not expecting chipping from dropping these on a carpeted surface). All in all, this was money well-spent in my book and I would recommend T7 kits to others in the future.
