Stainless Steel Well Seal

Just what I needed!!

Our well driller turned up with any kind of casing we wanted as long as it was 5" PVC. I'm old enough to have minimal faith in plastic anything, but something that is as likely to take a beating as a well casing from my perspective should be steel. Since we are going to be pumping with a windmill, our 100' of steel "Drop Pipe" will be coming up through the Well Cap and resting on it. Not a submersible pump mounted to a Pitless bored into the wall of the casing underground. I had searched for a while and kept finding only PVC Caps to fit the 5" PVC Casing. Not only is this cap going to bear the load of the steel Drop Pipe, it is going to be directly beneath 1600# of steel tower and Mill. Any number of components or tools dropped from 33' up would likely shatter a PVC Cap potentially wreaking havoc with the well. Finding this Stainless Steel 5" Cap was my lucky day! It will bear the load of the drop pipe and withstand any dropped parts handily. After reading reviews of poor quality PVC caps this one stands out as a Space Age wonder. It is well made and excellent quality - glad I found it at RPS.

I like that it is made of cheese and has holes in it. It had a metallic taste when I bit into it.
