Great Amateur Film

I am beginning to believe that the French are the best amateur film makers in the world. The list of famous French amateurs (some became professionals of course) is a long one I cannot rehearse here but this 1983 horror film shot in Super 8 is basically a silent film with a music track and sound effects. The director manages to use many silent film techniques to tell the story. I was amazed at how well it was done. It also has one of the best horror film posters I have ever seen. I think I almost bought just because the cover looked so good!

Classic Murderdrone

One of the best lo-fi horrors ever, now in the best video quality you’ll ever see it in. Hopefully the rest of NG Mount’s films will be coming to blu ray before we know it

Obscure French slasher

For completists only. This obscure French attempt at the slasher genre from early 80’s is interesting look into low budget film making Interesting watch for sure As always the slipcover and extras are all top notch. Great release for this hard to find and rarely seen film
