Not impressed so far!

I have no complaints with the delivery of the splitter. However I had no luck using it other than on soft wood. I had a few large logs left from last year which I was hoping it would enable me to split myself (being an independent older lady). No luck though. A friend has since split them for me with an axe. I intend to have another go with my latest delivery of logs. I was using a 3lb hammer before. I am trying to borrow a slightly heavier one. But I am rather disappointed as I had previously managed to split at least some of the hardwood logs with a long handled splitter and the 3lb hammer. I have lost the long handled splitter hence the purchase of the wedge.

Very effective firewood splitter

Really good quality wedge for splitting green or seasoned timber, tried it on both hard and softwood. Wear boots, it'll wake you up if it falls on your foot.
