Wool Blend Felt Shim Pad

Very good quality pad, helped correct some minor saddle fit issues on my mule. Remove middle and back shims to help a saddle running down hill.

Left rub marks and sore spots

I love Weaver products. I had a saddle fitter come out for my young changing horse and we recommended to get a Diamond Wool shim pad. I chose to try the Weaver version of this same pad, but it did not work for my horse. I used it on a trail ride and it left her with swollen spots on her back and rubbed/pinched hair on her sides. I could tell she was uncomfortable because she kept turning around and looking at her side and pinning her ears. A first for her. The pad was also very stiff and hard to pull up into the gullet so it felt like it was not contoured enough or had enough wither relief. Unfortunately I will be looking to return it and going with the Diamond Wool as the saddle fitter recommended.

Great craftsmanship

Really good quality pad. This is my second one and I have done many miles with great comfort for my horse.
