Meets a very specific need
I just bought this because I'm taking a Lufthansa flight in a few weeks and needed a bag that can be used as an under-seat item as well as a daypack. Lufthansa is really stingy with cabin space, and they enforce their rules. This basically meets those requirements. It's a little thicc front to back but I don't think that will be an issue.
As an actual item, it's 'cute' and small. I dunno how practical it is for general purpose use. I can get in a laptop, a book or two, and a sweatshirt. Not much else. The shoulder straps are maybe half an inch wide, unpadded, so I can't imagine using this for any serious hiking. No dedicated laptop sleeve in this model (although apparently Fjallraven does make something similar with that feature). Just a thin piece of foam lining the back side. The bottle holders are just flat pieces of fabric stitched to the sides with no extra volume. They might accommodate a soda can if you're lucky or if the main pack is understuffed.
I think this will work out fine for the trip, which involves a flight, a few train journeys, and lots of museums/historical sites.
As an actual backpack, both of my North Face bags blow this out of the water. One of them is probably 20 years old, and just as functional as the day I bought it.
