XO Transmission Real Deal or more Hype?
Long time SRAM drivetrain user (MTB) but I’ve alway been a little bit of a skeptic when it comes to their new products until I actually use them. Having read ever possible Transmission review and feedback, I was on fence a little bit, especially the $$/value. Well after 2 solid rides with the XO group on my new Tallboy v5, I’d say it’s definitely better than prior AXS system and here’s why: the shifting (both under heavy load and normal) is smoother for sure. Also, I like the Pod a little better because it’s not as susceptible to inadvertent thumb hits triggering shifts. Unfortunately I already took a rock hit to lower der cage but no damage so yeah it’s durable. Time will tell but so far, I’d def say it’s a worthy upgrade despite the price.
