This is exactly like a vintage jar opened my mom has had for decades and works just the same! Works better than any modern jar opener and works on any size lids! Love it!

I inherited a metal lid opener almost exactly like this new one after my parents passed away, likely from the 1950s. It is inscribed "LYONS GRAIN & LUMBER CO LYONS NEBR" with a very old phone number (after phone operators and before area codes). Likely it was a promotional gift to customers. My dad worked there after we sold the farm and moved to town. It has been well-used. Fast forward to the 21st Century. We use the old jar opener about every day, and started to worry that the back spring pin that engages the holes is rusty. We're of the age now where our grip strength is not so great. So I googled "metal jar opener" and voila! I found Micro-Mark. Your opener is the same heavy-duty quality as the old one. I like it so well, that I'm giving them away to friends and family as stocking stuffers. Thanks for such a quality product, so rare these days.
