Great concept, but the handle is painfully rough - enough so to give me a splinter

I *really* wanted to be able to give this product 5 stars. The bristles are just the right roughness, the handle is just long enough without being awkward, and the dry brush as a product in and of itself is fantastic. I love using it. However, the handle on this one is painfully rough to hold. Originally I was only going to take off 1star because of the handle and because, after over a dozen uses, there is still notable shedding from the brush itself. But when I ended up having to remove a splinter from my finger just from picking it up, I finally decided on giving it a 3. The rope around the base is just too rough and has too many sharp flyaways. I ended up having to make my own cover for the handle to prevent more splinters. The concept is great and highly recommendable, but this might not be the one to get if you're not okay with possibly having to add your own wrap for the handle.
