Note for special needs/autistic child parents
We have used K and 1st grade curriculum with my autistic level 1 daughter without any issues. We loved it. However 2nd grade curriculum is not a good fit for us so far. Even with me taking as much as possibly out, lightening to only necessary basics, it is still too much to do in one day and always ends up a long day. As much as I love this company and how it has been preplanned for you, we will have to look for a different curriculum. If you are considering this grade for your child that has special needs, I suggest you reach out to the company and request more than just a few pages of preview so you can decide if it is right for your child based on the amount of the work for each day. There is lot more to do when you actually print it than what it seem on preview pages. I wish I did that.

Great this year - can't wait for 3rd grade!
We've now use all the grades offered by this curriculum and are waiting for third grade. 2nd Grade was a surprise for me; I expected it to be harder for me to teach because of the more advanced material, but it really wasn't. They give you everything you need right in the curriculum to know what to explain and then activities to reinforce the teaching.
It's so simple! It took us two sets of 30 minutes school sessions a day most days. Some days were faster and some took a bit longer if we needed to go over new ideas a few times to really make sure they were understood. But overall, I budget half an hour to do this. Sometimes we do it in 15 minute chunks and sometimes all at once. We used some of the articles on their blogs to curate our book lists for when we go to the library, too, and that's been great.
It's a massive program, so we printed it out a few months at a time. Still, when I asked for a recommendation on a printer, they did suggest one that had better prices than my local print shop and that was a big help and I'll use them from now on.

So Much More Than We Hoped For!
I was looking for an easy solution for homeschooling that gave us a solid foundation and plenty of time to read books, do Lego projects, and not stress us out when I first found this company. It does all of that,
BUT this year, I'm seeing how it's really coming together when we do our homeschooling "sit down" work. And there's no eye rolling or whining, because it's fun for the kids, plus it's all planned out so I don't have to do any late night or last minute morning prep (LOVE that, because with a houseful of kids I often forget to do that stuff).
This allows us to check every box for our state AND every box on my wish list as a homeschooling mom. We also use a lot of their family unit studies for fun science, craft, and other moments in our week.
