Bought this for our petite 11 yr old (55” height) for the Little America Mid backpack. This made it more comfortable to use for walking to school with a full backpack. It’s essential! Sturdy and very good quality. Not worried it will fall off or break.

Must have for heavy backpack

Im a stagehand and need a lot of tools (impact gun, hammer, all kinds of hand tools, notebook, pencils and sharpies, etc.). I use a little america as my every day work bag, after three years it has held up nicely even with 50-60lbs of metal tools packed in it. It’s always been comfortable on my back but after buying the sternum strap a few weeks ago it’s made a world of difference. It has redistributed the weight from just my back and shoulders and spread it across my shoulders and chest, relieving a lot of the pressure on my back. I love it. I even bought a second one for my multiple other Herschel backpacks that I use when traveling or going out on my days off. For $10 you can’t go wrong and your body will thank you.
