Austin 48" American Black Walnut Bathroom Vanity

Mixed bag review: I like the vanity but don't love it. The pros - The quart countertop and sink are solid, beautifully done and easy to install. It arrived very carefully packaged and no scratches on it. The shelves and drawers are deep and the soft-close is a nice upgraded touch. The midcentury modern design and legs are very classy and we love the look. The cons -The vanity does not look like real wood, even though it is listed as solid walnut veneers. It looks It looks like Ikea cabinet veneers, but maybe a step up. The pulls are flimsy and wobble. The description was somewhat misleading to us, as there is a significant amount of particleboard in the vanity itself. We painted/sealed it up in the case of water spillage. Also, minor point, but we did not know the inside of the vanity would be a dark grey. Communication from the company was zero. I had to reach out at the 4, 6 and 9 week mark to inquire where the vanity was. They kept telling me, next week, and finally at the 9th week, they said they had quality control issues. Why not tell me that in the first place? How about send me an email and an update? Shipping came in at about 9-10 weeks, and the vanity arrived a week later. So, pretty far off the 4-6 week mark indicated on the website. This could really bog down a project and cause significant issues. We had the bathroom completely done for 2 weeks and were just waiting for the vanity. I had ordered it ahead of time and with a buffer, but it still was not sufficient to accommodate this delay. I am not doing another bathroom project anytime soon but would probably look elsewhere.
