Ranger Full Size Axe - 4LB Felling and Splitting

This isnt the old axe from the barn. This thing is so solidly constructed and the details are awesome. Im considering buying them for my dad, my brother and brother in law. Im confident that this axe will be around long after im gone. Keep up the hardwork and moreover the quality!

Good solid axe. Does stick in stringy wood a little but does split well. Would suggest a shorter handle for splitting but all other tasks works well. I would recommend to others

Great Felling Axe.

Bought this 4lb axe mostly for a wedge banger. Normally I climb, lately been logging. Fit and finish on my axe was pretty outstanding, from how it was hung to just the overall quality and attention given to it in production. Came hair popping sharp. I was impressed. I stained the head, because I just wanted to see how it actually chopped and split(it does), and a sugar maple turned some spots blue on the steel. If you buy one and care, (I don’t) maybe treat it with something like bumbleshoots or beeswax before using it. I don’t even bother wiping it down before taking some swings. Awesome for logging. Deforms the wedges fractionally compared to the 1.5lb Hudson Bay I was using. (Nice credit to the rafter styled poll). Really drives them nicely. Awesome American made tool and now has a permanent place on my belt and in my truck. The only problem is, now I want a raptor. Just because.
