Park Tool Brake Piston Press - waaay better than the old screwdriver

For some reason I’m quite slick at servicing MTB brakes so everyone in my club comes to me when stopping doesn’t or things go spongy. I’ve used an old broad bladed screwdriver in the past. Worked sort of ok but also a little cruel on the pads. Had a little spare cash for a luxury item and it’s been worthwhile. The blade is wide and the taper is just nice for gently wiggling between pads without digging into the compound. The offset of the handle provides lots of control. It’s really easy to push back pads on a well behaved calliper. For the more typically semi-cooked & seized offerings it’s plenty powerful enough to get things moving again, after cleaning off the brake crud. A surprisingly effective upgrade to my toolkit, worth buying.
