CANVAS Focus Light

Not quite what I hoped it would be

I bought this predominantly for product photos, with the idea that I could designate a permanent space in my studio to that purpose. However, the light is too focused to have it close to the setup and does not have the ability to widen the aperture by turning the lens. You have to physically move the entire light back, which, in my case, is the middle of my studio, propped on a stool because the stand is not tall enough to be functional when it needs to be pulled so far back. Also, the dimming function is not what I would expect for the price. It puts out a nice light and would be decent for portraiture, but it is not awesome for what I need it to do. It is solidly built though and decent quality, which is why it got three stars.
