Highlander V2 Shield Softshell Jacket.

Purchased the V2 softshell jacket for the Great Glen Way. The fit of the jacket in the XL size was neat leaving very little room for layering up underneath but when your walking and sweating you don’t need to wear a lot underneath bar a base layer or hoody. The material is soft and the hood adjustable to fit as required. The colour isn’t too bad but Highlander could do with offering more colours in this jacket. The arm length is long which will aid covering the hands if needed to keep them warm. Had I ordered a XXL size it would have been too big in the hood and arm length. Still a handy shell to put on or take off as the weather changes. Definitely recommend especially at around £50 for a lightweight wind shield. Well done Highlander.

Versatile jacket for everyday wear.

I needed a new lighter weight jacket for my dog walking and other outdoor activities This one is just ideal, warm enough but not too. At least at the moment it's rain resistant and beads nicely. Oh, and it looks tidy. Why not 5 stars? Well it's a bit short I think and I'm not a fan of velcro cuffs. Otherwise I'm very pleased.

My first time in buying a product from Highlander. I really liked the look and soft feel of the jacket. I bought it initially after seeing it at a discounted price and decided to give it a try. I really like the colour and fit of the jacket. I've only worn it a couple of times so far and happy with it although not sure how it stands up for to light showers. My only reason for not giving it five stars is because the hood doesn't have an option to stow in some way, which some other makes of hooded jackets don't either. But I think this is always a preference of mine and on the whole I'm pleased with it and for how smart it looks.
