Sometimes I need to hit the start button multiple times to get it to turn on my fan. Why is that. Need a new one? Controller, that is?

So easy to find on Google = vendor.....and a quick easy website order.....had it in 4days. All for a fan of 10yrs and a remote that had been dropped, kicked, stepped on and thrown across the room and hit the wall.
