Works but there is room for improvement

This product works but there is significant room for improvement. First, it does exactly what it is supposed to and prevents water from gathering on the lens. I've driven through many storms in PNW and it simply works. I have a subscription and get a new one ever 3 months. The issues I have are two-fold. First, the diameter is too small and if you zoom out to .5x magnification, it crops the image. Not a big deal for me as I use 1x magnification and there is no impact to the image there. The second, bigger issue is durability. The 2.0 version tried to increase the diameter to solve problem one without increasing the overall size of the plastic mount and the result is the plastic is too thin near the edge of the lens. This results in warpage, cracking, and water entry into the lens. With the new design, I can't make it 3 months without the lens failing. The old design was stronger and lasted longer. If they fix this problem, I'd rate it 5 stars.

This cover works really good especially on rainy days.
