Definitely worth a try
I didn't find this company until after my kids were past the baby stage, but you still get plenty of messes throughout the rest of the stages of life, even if the laundry demand goes down a bit. These lifesaver mats really and truly do not crinkle and do not bunch up awkwardly the way so many pads do. They're comfortable, they stay AND FEEL completely dry, and they're cute patterns and designs. I'm very sensory-sensitive, so the normal lifesaver mat doesn't work for me (it has kind of a fleece-microfiber feel on the absorbent side, which I personally don't like the texture/feel of) but everybody else in the family has no problem with it. But the lush lifesaver mat is a dream come true and the texture is soothing and soft, and doesn't bother me at all. The lush lifesaver mat is everyone else's favorite too though, so I'll definitely be back to buy more of these! I only got the XLs so far, for bedtime use (mostly for hot flashes or when the kids are sick and feverish-sweaty) but I think I'll get some of the smaller ones to use in the kids seats in the car for when we're coming home from the beach or the waterpark, these really are amazing at absorbing water and still being very comfortable to sit/lay on.

Just tested a small patch with water but it seems to work wonderfly 🩷

Another amazing product from Uncle Mo!
Last winter I bought a few original mats and one mattress cover when my kids had noro. They were so useful and I absolutely love them. The only drawbacks were that the lovely pattern on the lifesaver mats wasn't visible and the mattress protector is a little pricey. This year, when illness struck again, I was so thrilled to see these new lush mats that I bought 3 of them! The patterns are gorgeous, the mats are soft and cozy to sleep on, there is no crinkle/plastic sound, and they contain sick (and other) messes with ease. They are plenty big enough to cover the top half of a queen bed or most of a twin bed, more affordable than the full mattress protector, and a little easier to launder. We love all our lil helper mats, but these are the best yet!
