Regal Review

My first Regal Medallion fly tying vise was purchased back in 1985 soon after I graduated college. I bought it with the midge head and have had nothing but success with it and continue to tie smaller trout flies on it every day. I have used it so much that the vise head is getting smooth and worn by use. However, it was not designed for holding larger Steelhead and Saltwater hooks, so I recently acquired a new big hook Regal Medallion vise with a pocket pedestal for tying larger streamers, saltwater and steelhead patterns. It is an amazing vise and like my older Regal vise, does everything I ask of it. After almost 40 years of tying with the Regal Medallion vises, I can honestly say, that I have never had a problem, nor had to send it back for repairs! The American craftsmanship and details in developing these vises is second to none! I recommend them to any beginning fly tyer looking to get more serious in this craft!
