Home Base Tent

Not for backpacking. Perfect for festivals/renfaire with the family!!

I have to say, the Home Base tent was not what I was originally looking for because it normally costs more than I am willing to spend on a tent. I was lucky and caught it during their Memorial Day sale and I'm so glad I did! It turned out to be the tent I didn't know I needed. Clearly this is not a backpacking or overnight tent because of the weight and size. It fits its name sake. It is a great home base for mutli-day or longer stays. Ideal for festivals/renfaire. Plenty of room for friends, family and gear. It's a really simple design with easy setup. The first setup took me about 30 mins by myself but will easily be faster with practice. The huge screened doors/windows combined with the top vent and poly/canvas roof kept us cool, dry and bug free. It's probably the last tent I'll have to buy for a while.

Stayed cool and dry in severe weather

We experienced extreme weather one night and stayed completely dry. One support pole fell, but no water came through the seams. Next time we upgraded 8 of the pegs to the screw in type, and it was completely sturdy and watertight yet again. Quality is unmatched. Smooth zippers and attention to details. Still room to add a shower inside. One time I opted for a grass floor and really enjoyed that. Has far surpassed my expectations (was hesitant, it’s a big commitment at first) but the home base tent has already elevated my last 3 experiences and made my trips very enjoyable, comfortable, and clean.
