Scary Movie

Great presentation of a fun little gem!

This is one of those discs where I started watching just to sample the transfer and ended up sitting there for the entire movie. It looks so good! Especially compared to what has been available in the past. There’s a sharpness and authenticity to the image that I simply haven’t seen in previous presentations, while the audio sounds clear, full and appropriately dynamic. The physical presentation is equally impressive. Love the slipcover art!

The truest Scary Movie

This wacky little low-budget early 90's horror comedy brings in the influences of prior 80's gems and delivers a great film for a movie night with friends. A little humor, some gore, low-budget effects, and just a zany time. I took a chance on this blind buy because some horror convention pals mentioned it being a pretty solid film and, I must say, I enjoyed it knowing it was an AGFA release. You (usually) know what you're getting with the AGFA releases and this one fits solidly.

Great Hidden Gem

This wacky regional gem more than earned its spot in my future Halloween season rotation. Equal parts bizarre and charming. I also appreciated the inclusion of two previous shorts from the director - Mr. Pumpkin in particular is one I can easily see myself returning to.
