Description
Kobe 11 Ikuta Orange is a bright red-orange ink with low shading and medium gold sheen. It dries in 30 seconds in a medium nib on Rhodia and has a wet flow. Kobe ink is made in Japan.

This is an amazing bright Vermillion ink, strong enough to be clear and bright coming out of a Japanese Fine nib, which I have generally found to be a challenge for orange and pink inks. Worth looking up the history of Vermilion (also the spelling!) as it's a fascinating and historic color - who knew that the red letter of "red letter days" was actually an Orange? I just did my monthly bills with this as my red ink, quite something to have money going out seem like a joyous occasion?!
Kobe inks have become my favorite line, and this is another one I will need in constant supply (alongside #s 3, 10, 40, 49 and 54!). In terms of properties they're superlative.
Prompt and diligent service from VanNess, as always, and the only place with all three inks I wanted in stock.
