Very straightforward

My SmartHome is pretty well bristling with devices. There's one of me, three cats and 92 current DHCP leases. This wasn't my first MQTT rodeo. So long as you have your wifi network name, your MQTT username and the passwords to both setup is pretty fast. It wants uppercase letters in the hexadecimal password by the by.

Very useful and easy to use smart device hub

Overall, this device is an excellent addition to my Home Assistant setup. First impressions: It’s a solid piece of hardware—sturdy, satisfying to hold, and clearly well-built. Setting it up was a breeze; I had it connected to my Wi-Fi in just a few minutes. I also enabled the Home Assistant add-on by mihsu81, which immediately started displaying plug data. A standout moment was seeing the BLE-to-MQTT gateway in action—it automatically detected a nearby CO2 sensor and seamlessly added it to my dashboard. Truly impressive. Florian is very responsive to emails and answers questions quickly - he helped me connect to my MQTT server securely. The forum is also an invaluable resource for community-driven support. One thing to note: the software ecosystem for this device isn’t centralized under a single GitHub organization. This means you may need to spend some time tracking down the right tools to use.

Great product for what it does. Well built, feels durable. Setup could have been easier, though I take the blame for not fully understanding some of the instructions. Theengs was great at identifying and ensuring my issue was corrected.
