The Renaissance of a Vintage-style Surplice

The Renaissance linen arrived beautifully wrapped in tissue paper. I haven't laundered it yet but I am looking forward to working with this beautiful natural material. I am just now completing a mockup surplice which I made by disassembling a very worn one which is a vintage style. It has been a great learning experience in figuring out how an unknown seamstress made this surplice. It will be wonderful to see the next one in this gorgeous linen.

Purificators

Bought 2 yards so we could make 10 -13 inch purificators. Had a lot of fabric left over to use for other Church projects. Fabric is beautiful , irons nicely and is a joy to work with especially when doing embroidery.
