I initially ordered the 1” clamp for my 1” bars. However when I went to install the clamp I wasn’t happy with the fit. Although the bars are definitely 1”, there is always a bit of a curve or bend in the bar causing somewhat of a slight variation in the size depending on exactly where you choose to mount it. So with a little help from customer service we decided the Universal size would work better because there is more forgiveness when using the thicker rubber spacers provided with the slightly larger clamp. So after a bit of difficulty at first, I am very happy with the fit and quality.
