My Favorite

The Scarlet Flame is the only Zinnia I plant each year because the color just makes my day! It's real red, not orange-red or pink-red. It looks like dark red velvet. I grow all my plants indoors and when the zinnia and tomato seeds didn't germinate properly, I went looking for another vendor and found Thresh Seed Co. I planted seeds on 2/21 and they all germinated by 2/25 (ditto for the Thessoloniki tomato seeds I purchased). Not only that, but the 3 surviving zinnia sprouts, from seed started on 2/1 using the other seed, are pitiful. The Thresh seeds were an inch tall by 3/1. I transplanted them into deep cells by 3/10. I'll have to judge the flower and color once they bloom but I have high hopes.
