Too Deep In Theology

There are several parts in each book that go off on a looooong ramble that is deep into theology and takes off on a tangent that is not super important to the story. As a new Christian, it speaks way over my head and bogs down the story line. I find myself skipping through these parts to continue reading the actual story. I like everything else about the books though.

I am enjoying this series. What makes them real interesting is how actual passages of the BIBLE have been used by the characters to discuss their relationships with each other and how they are learning or teaching how the spiritual ream reacts to our faith in Chist. This really opens the storyline to teaching how we should be looking at our relationship with Christ and other believers.

I don't know how I'd title this because of the combination of politics, murder mysteries & The Word ... These books were spellbinding - I couldn't put either one down until I completed them. It made for lack of sleep but they were well worth it. I read book #2 & THEN book #1 . It's definitely better when read in order & I'm looking forward to book #3 ;-)
