Along with the PC plate I swapped out the base silicon and added the switch dampener pad and replaced the foam between the plate the pcb. The softer poron and the switch pad helped to dampen the sound am improve thock. When I also switched to the u4tx half-thock switches and the sound is strangely muted. I recommend the switch pads and the foam replacement. I am not sure about the silicon swap though. I can't really tell the difference, but the poron is lighter. With the steel plate swapped for PC the board is way lighter, but I have to be careful not to tighten the screws too much since it will warp the PC plate. Leave some thread-slack and you gain a semi-gasket effect in the K10 Pro.
