My rack uses two of these clamps. One cracked within 2 years of use, and was replaced free of charge by Black River, which was much appreciated. Two years later, and another has cracked. I ordered 4 of these, as there seems to be a cracking problem with this part as reported by others. Could be due to AZ heat, but maybe milling these out of aluminum would prevent the problem. Otherwise, works well.
