BAD NIBS

Greetings. I must responsibly report two things: 1) My new fountain pen nib arrived today. 2) Sadly, I must tell you that it has the same problems. The ink doesn't flow smoothly or, in this case, present excess of ink in the writing too. I tested it on several fountain pen papers, and, it has skipping or spit ink. I have no problems with other brands on these papers; I'm currently using a medium nib in my Faber-Castell and Asvine fountains pens. I have at least 34 fountain pens. the ink Im use in all is Montblanc and, neither has given me the problems I'm experiencing with the Nahvalur. Don't worry, you don't need to send me any more nibs. Sadly, I was expecting a different result from the brand.

Good Nib But …

It took time and multiple emails with Nahvalur to find out why the new nib unit they sent did not fit my new Nautilus Cape May Diamond, a special edition from Goldspot Pens. The pen has an Ebonite feed, which is a different size from the usual plastic feed, meaning the new nib must be removed from the new unit and placed in the pen’s original feed and unit in order to fit. Once this was explained to me by Nahvalur customer service, I was able to use the new nib.
