A very nice delrin flute that has small snappy tone holes, very easy to play! Everything fits together very precisely, it has a brass tuning slide and the head is fully lined with brass on the inside. Well made satisfying cork joints. It’s finished with a sleek satin texture made from tiny grooves/lines but if you don’t like that you can buff it lengthwise with 0000 steel wool for a wood-like matte finish (very nice improvement imo but obviously then you can’t return it!). The embouchure is large with a flat edge that is easy to use, loud under your ear (ie easy to hear yourself) and can give you lots of different tones from airy to mellow to trumpety once you get used to it. And, Blayne at the Irish Flute Store is awesome, if you have questions.
