This has been a very enjoyable read for me. I love the magic, the FMC is a great balance in my opinion, and the slow unraveling of what’s really going on is a great flow for me. I listened to the audiobook as I read and it was great listening to Elisabeth bring her characters to life.

Wonderful, refreshing male lead for a romance book

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy shadow daddy love interests, but its refreshing to get something different every now and then. I keep finding myself with romantasies with too cool love interests who are complete jerks in the beginning. Daindreth is an absolute sweet heart. Too often the male sweet heart character is the guy who DOESN'T get the girl. It was a refreshing change with a male character who did everything he could to be honorable and not take advantage of the main character's circumstances.

I loved the book and can't wait to continue to follow Daindreth and Amira's story!
