SSL FlexVerb

Not just another reverb

I picked this up on sale expecting just another standard reverb, but it's quietly become a staple on my vocal and drum buses. Having independent control over the early reflections and the main tail makes spatial positioning easy, and the built-in drive section adds a nice warmth without needing an extra saturation plugin. The integrated ducking compressor and EQ keep dense mixes clear right inside the interface, making it a clean, CPU-friendly time-saver.

A verb with a different idea

With flexverb you get the usual suspects expected of a modern reverb; there's individual parameters for early and late reflections, four reverb algorithms, comprehensive EQ and ducking (compressor here). But the sound is designed to stay out of the way instead of taking center stage. Truly a mixing reverb.

rock-solid stability

While it may not offer anything groundbreaking, it delivers the kind of rock-solid stability characteristic of SSL. It allows you to create a reverb sound that feels instantly familiar and natural to the ear.
