Gulabi | Damask Rose Perfume Oil (6ml)

My first impression of the Damask Rose started before I even opened the bottle. The moment I opened the box, I was hit with the fragrance, and I already knew from there that the actual scent was not going to disappoint. When I opened the bottle and smelled it for the first time, my immediate thought was, “Oh yes.” My eyes literally closed just so I could take it in even more. Lol. The rose is extremely fresh smelling. It smells as if you’re bathing in rose petals. I could picture myself falling backward into a bed of roses and landing softly on my back. It captures the rose so beautifully and authentically. As the fragrance settles into my skin, I begin to pick up the subtle warmth of the sandalwood oil underneath the rose. It doesn’t take away from the freshness of the rose at all; it gives it another layer, almost like the scent transforms on the skin while still allowing the rose to remain the star. I love that. This is such a beautiful scent. I can see myself wearing it after a shower or even for a quick errand when I just want to smell fresh, feminine, and naturally beautiful. I applied it to my wrists and dabbed it on my neck and shoulders, and it was so lovely. I’m not sure the scent lasted very long on me, so reapplication may be needed, but I honestly didn’t mind because I enjoyed smelling it again. Damask Rose feels like experiencing the flower itself rather than simply wearing something that smells like rose. It’s fresh, soft, warm, and beautifully captured. Will order again.
