TickTalk 5 Power Base

This watch was a huge upgrade over the previous model. The location is way more up-to-date than previous. The battery lasts all day.

My 9 yr old son loves the freedom he gets with his tick talk watch. He can ride his bike down the street and we can check on him easily. I definitely recommend the charging stand because it’s very easy for him to set it there to charge for the night.

First the watch and dock look really nice. The dock is really easy to use and the watch fits nicely. The watch has some good features that other kids watches do not have like the curated music channels. The app is really nice, much better than setracker2 that other watches use. Best of all no ads. There are some features missing that I wish it had though. The watch does not have a messenger app, so you cannot send and receive SMS. The only way to send messages, text or video is to use the app. That means you have to convince your family to install and set up the app. The GPS tracker does not have geofensing so you cannot get alerts when they reach certain locations. There is an FAQ about that, but it is a feature I miss. I have only been able to use it for about a week so far because the SIM card cover broke so there is nothing holding the SIM card in at the moment. Support was good. I put in a request on Saturday evening and got a response Monday morning. They are sending me a new cover... Still waiting for it. All in all it seems to be a pretty good watch, but only time will tell how it dates long term.
