Thin Neck Saber - Model Sabine Wren

I adore the design of this lighstaber, it has a lot of design elements taken from other sabers and fused into a single device - particularly those used by Obi Wan (pommel), the Luke triangular D-ring and a Cal Kestis style emitter. I ordered the weathered version, but it wasn't quite as I wanted it so I stripped it all down and added my own paint to create a closer match to the screen prop used in Ahsoka - lightly worn but cared for. This is my first Neopixel, and it's a world apart from Disney and Hasbro sabers. Construction is great, it's solid, feels good in hand and the only downside is the abandoned control switch button, which is a bit rattly and redundant, but doesn't hurt the look any. Overall it feels like the start of an expensive habit - it's been great fun to customise, play with and admire on the shelf, very happy.

Not super happy with this. I had heard a lot about Padawan Outpost having good products and good customer service but I’m not sure I can agree. The saber I received was supposed to be weathered, but it was never finished with any sort of protective coating so now the weathering wears off from lightly handling it. I’m talking about barely touching it and the weathering lifts off onto your fingers or whatever you set it down on. Super disappointed that something this expensive was finished so badly. I reached out to Padawan Outpost to see what they could do and while they offered to redo the weathering if I send it back I’m not sure I trust whatever I’m going to get back to not have the exact same issue. The responses I received were also barely a whole sentence, no punctuation, no care to the message whatsoever. Just half of a thought hastily typed and sent off. Will not be ordering again.
