Mango Bowl Blank for Woodturning Projects

Didn't look pretty out of the box but one pass through the joiner changed my mind. Have not turned this wood before so kind of excited what a chalice and paten will look like when finished with the 3-step Beall process. This is my 3rd order with the company and placed a 4th a bit ago. Support is always responsive. I think that shipping is a bit expensive adding as much as $5-10 to the set.

My first bowl. It’s pretty lame, but I’m getting more used to the lathe and the tools, and developing technique. The mango was easier to work than store-bought lumber.

Clean piece to turn . Needs attn to smooth end of grain....like always. Classical finish with beeswax. Sound appearance. Regs RMB
