I use these for tying stone nymph patterns for spring steelhead. They are sharp, with easy penetration with even a poor hook set. But the main reason I like this hook is they hold fish. I fish 10 lbs fluorocarbon leaders so I can turn a big fish if I need to. This hook can maintain its integrity when I have to apply pressure to slow down a fish.
