It's supremely difficult if not impossible to pass judgement on hooks. I've used most of them over the decades, and have never been disappointed by any of them for any reason. Any fly shop worth its salt, will carry the best hooks made.

Solid Nymph Hook

Strong wire and extra wide gape works great for bead head nymphs like PT and Hare's Ear. Should work well for medium-sized stonefly nymphs as well. Like how Firehole hooks stay sharp even after bouncing off rocks!
